Wide eyes

Here's Loyal Reader Number Twelve once again grinning for the camera, in better focus this time. Isn't she just the cutest little thing? Photo courtesy of Loyal Reader Number Five.

Happy Halloween! Extremely short shrift once again today. We spent Halloween evening at Loyal Reader Number Twenty-Four's family's house. We just got back and it's already time for bed. No Wednesday meetings tonight - it was the fifth Wednesday of the month and everybody wanted to be home tonight to hand out candy anyway.

As mentioned previously, I had to pick up donuts this morning, so I drove the Miata. Worried about the traditionally wretched Halloween afternoon traffic, I left the office at about 3:15 and got home at about 5:15, so I stayed right on par. Pulled into the garage just as the family was getting ready to get in the car for our visit. Yet another perfect afternoon for open-air motoring.

It's official - I'm taking the Honda back. Hopefully, it will work out. If not, we'll just switch again. I'll probably start tomorrow. Or maybe the next day.

And now it's time for bed. See you tomorrow.

I had a great deal of fun haloween night. I'm very glad we were able to do that.
Last night I went to sword-fighting and fought in armor. I'm a tiny bit the worse for wear, but overall doing very well, and I had a ton of fun.

Well don't I just have the cutest baby in the world?!! I will also send you a couple of pictures of her in her bat costume for Halloween. It was a bit too small, so she only wore it for some pictures, but the pictures turned out to be fantastic!

We also felt the earthquake the other day pretty strongly in Daly City. Gary said things were really shaking at the apartment, and he and Mia actually went to stand in a doorway. I was on my way to the store, and when I got out of my car, it kind of felt like when you're on a parking garage deck and someone drives by, so I subconsciously thought that's what was happening because my door was swaying slightly. Then I got out of the car and some lady was saying to everyone who walked by, "Did you feel the earthquake?" I thought she was crazy, but then when I got home, Gary said it had been pretty serious. Weird!

Apparently the epicenter was between San Jose and Milpitas, so that's pretty close. I had been a little bit anxious about experiencing our first earthquake here in the bay area, but I didn't even notice it, so I guess it went pretty well. I'm surprised that it was so strong out in Lardville.
