Cherry picker

Here's Loyal Reader Number Two picking some cherries. Looks like fun, no?
Extreme Short Shrift today. I had to go to the dealer and pick up the Honda. It seems to be going straight now. Thanks for asking.
I'll leave you with today's Morrowlife controversy: Do you care even as much as one iota about the Olympics? If so, are there any events worth watching? My answers: No and curling, which isn't even available in the Summertime version. Feh.
One more controversy: Do you think doing the elevator trick in today's first link is ethical? My answer: No, not really. It's pretty childish, but I think we all have to admit it's tempting to try it.
See you tomorrow.

Well. I do care about the Olympics, personally, because something's just bound to go wrong, and when it does I really wanna see it happen. And the only event worth seeing: The replays. Where they screw up. Badly.
As for the elevator trick, what I would do would be to test it on a three-story building, going from floor 1 to floor 3, while a friend stood at floor 2 attempting to hail the elevator. That way we could see it done and not be rude.
I care about the Olympics because they represent the only time I can watch international competition in the only sports I can get excited about. I watch archery, shooting, curling, ski jumping, bobsledding, and sometimes the pentathlon. I also get a kick out of the opening ceremonies because overblown spectacles are funny.
I think that the elevator trick may be a little unethical, but it sure would be funny (and useful)!
I have to say that I'm totally indifferent to the Olympics in general, and I mostly wouldn't even know that they are happening except for the Wheaties boxes.
However, the other day I was in a salon and they had the Olympics on, and it was women's swimming, and I have to say, it was pretty exciting to watch the races and see how they did. Then doubles diving came on, and that was really interesting to watch, especially because they slow it down and show you in slow-mo what they divers did. I usually don't care about the events until I actually start watching some of them. I do like diving, especially in tandem!
